Carpool cost sharing works out splits a shared commute's fuel cost fairly among riders. Enter your own figures above and the answer updates as you type: nothing is fixed in the code, so the result reflects exactly the numbers you supply.

The formula
FormulaTrip cost = distance × consumption/100 × fuel price; weekly cost = trip cost × trips per week; cost per rider = weekly cost / riders
