What this calculator does
A KD calculator turns a kill count and a death count into a single ratio: kills divided by deaths. It is the most widely quoted stat in competitive shooters and battle royale games, because it compresses a session, a match or a whole career into one number that is easy to compare between players.
A KD ratio above 1.0 means more kills than deaths overall; below 1.0 means the reverse. It is a blunt measure on its own, since it says nothing about objectives won, assists given or how a match actually played out, but it remains the headline figure most players track match to match.
The formula
Divide total kills by total deaths. A KD of 2.0 means twice as many kills as deaths on average; a KD of 0.5 means half as many. If deaths are zero, dividing by zero is not meaningful, so this calculator follows the common convention used by mainstream stat trackers and reports the KD as equal to the kill count in that case.

Questions
What counts as a good KD ratio?
It depends heavily on the game, mode and skill level of the lobby, so there is no universal target. A KD around 1.0 is a rough break-even point in most shooters; competitive players in some titles regularly sit well above that.
What happens if I have zero deaths?
Dividing by zero deaths is not mathematically meaningful, so this calculator follows the common stat-tracker convention of reporting the KD as equal to the kill count itself in that case, flagged clearly rather than shown as an error.
Is KD calc the same across every game?
The kd calc itself, kills divided by deaths, is identical everywhere. What differs is what counts as a kill or a death in a given game, for example whether assists, revives or team-kills are included, which is set by the game, not by this calculator.
Does a high KD always mean a better player?
Not necessarily. KD ignores objectives completed, assists, revives and overall contribution to a win, so a player who plays cautiously for kills can post a high KD while contributing less to the team result than a more aggressive, objective-focused player with a lower one.
