Marking the 10th anniversary of the report, the 2022 edition reflects on a decade of global happiness data, with a renewed focus on benevolence, resilience, and the social effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The findings reaffirm that societal trust, strong social networks, and generous behaviour have become even more critical to happiness during turbulent times. Gallup World Poll results show that countries where people reported higher levels of helping, donating, and volunteering also saw stronger life satisfaction scores.
